A pure raw silk in an irregular bulky yarn, spun, dyed and woven by hand. Its artisanal workmanship produces a colour and texture whose surface effect is vibrant and irregular. Softer and more luminous than standard shantung, it is suitable for curtains. Also available in the wallcovering version in a selection of colours.

The warp and weft of an idea

Its delicacy leaves a mark on every sensitive soul. Full of the slight inconsistencies that distinguish natural rhythms and organisms, sweet and irregular, Fanfara celebrates the value of time. This fabric requires loving care given its creation from a slow artisanal process. The precious wild silk cocoon thread, that is a result of ancient winding techniques, is hand-dyed. The varying absorption of color gives texture and movement to the finished surface. Fanfara is woven on pit looms, with wooden beams and shuttles. The hammers with which it is then finished by hand are also made of wood, to give it softness and a rich light.
