CARE INSTRUCTIONS   Machine wash at a maximum temperature of 68°F with special care: drum half full; short gentle spin.   Hand wash. Dissolve detergent thoroughly in hand-hot water (68°F). Special care should be taken (do not rub, pull, stretch or wring out). Hang up to dry immediately. Customers are advised to wash the fabric according to care instructions before having it made up. Delicate hand-washing detergents are recommended for water washable fabrics. Do not use softeners. Do not tumble dry. The fabric may be washed in a net bag to avoid possible damage.   Do not wash   Warm iron   Iron on reverse side with protective cloth without using steam   Do not chlorinate   Hot iron   Press with steam, holding iron away from fabric   Do not tumble dry   Iron with protective cloth   Dry clean using perchloroethylene and trichloroethylene, without adding water; reduced mechanical action and low temperatures required   Hang to dry   Iron on reverse side   Do not iron   Iron without using steam   Cool iron   Iron on reverse side without using steam   Do not dry clean   Machine wash professionally   Surface clean using a damp sponge and mild detergent   Do not spin   Iron on reverse side WALLPAPERS INFORMATION AND RECOMMENDATIONS Dedar’s wallpaper collections have an excellent chromatic rendering and offer a pleasing tactile sensation. Complete hanging instructions are given on the back of the label inside the wallpaper roll. Before using the wallpaper, make sure the rolls bear the same colour batch or serial number and that the decorator reads the attached instructions. The company declines all liability for any defects that are visible before hanging, and in any case, will not accept claims once more than one roll of paper is hung. Patterns are printed on three different types of substrate: 100% NON-WOVEN The use and application of these wallpapers present numerous advantages: They are easy to hang - just paste the wall and not the paper; they are easy to strip off and leave no residual traces on the wall; they are spongeable, light resistant and fire-retardant – therefore highly suited to residential and contract use; they also “breathe” – thus preventing the formation of mould and damp. 90% NON-WOVEN + 10% PAPER Our special gold and silver effects have been achieved thanks to this composite quality. This quality has the same technical characteristics as 100% non-woven wallpaper but requires a slightly different hanging method: when using this quality, it’s suggested to paste the back of the paper instead of the walls. ON TNT The use and application of these wallpapers present numerous advantages: they are easy to hang - just paste the wall and not the paper; they are easy to strip off and leave no residual traces on the wall; they are spongeable, light resistant and fire-retardant - and therefore ideal for residential and contract applications. They are in conformity with requirements of the harmonized European Norm EN 1 5 102 : 2 0 07 with Class C s2 d0. HANGING INSTRUCTIONS The wall must be flat, smooth, dry, clean, even, free of grease and dust, as well as being regularly absorbent and of similar color to the wallpaper. Eliminate any trace of old paint that prevent the wall covering from adhering properly to the wall. We recommend using ACM - TEXRECO CONTRACT SUPER STRONG glue for our products. If you use another glue, we recommend carrying out a test prior to application to ensure suitability. Always check the condition of the glue before applying it. USEFUL TIPS In order to hang the strip more easily we suggest applying the paste to the wall only and not to the strip. In no circumstances should you use a spatula; apply the glue with a paint roller, without pressing too hard, and try to prevent any glue from oozing out along the seams joins. Do not fold and avoid damaging the material before hanging it. Use a damp clean sponge to eliminate residual paste by dabbing off excess; then use a dry cloth or absorbent paper to dry moisture. Repeat this operation until all the wet spots are dry. Pay special attention not to rub the paper since it may damage the surface.

USE OF FABRICS FOR UPHOLSTERY APPLICATIONS ON SOFAS AND SEATING Unclassified fabrics as per the legend below are intended for decoration purposes. Some of these may however also be used for upholstery if judged suitable by the upholsterer and final customer. Upholstery fabric suitable for light use Upholstery fabric suitable for intense use Upholstery fabric suitable for normal use VARIATIONS IN COLOUR For technical reasons it is impossible to guarantee a perfect colour match between samples and stocked articles, or between different fabric lots and coordinated articles. Whenever a perfect match is required, it is recommended to ask for a stock cutting before confirming an order. It will not be possible to supply a stock sample for wallpapers and for some other items listed in the price list. VARIATIONS IN WIDTH From one fabric lot to another, width measurement and repeat may differ slightly from those indicated in our price lists and on our samples. Any such fluctuation, if within a limit of 3%, will not be considered a valid cause for a claim. It is advised to specify the number of repeats required whenever there is a close relationship between the yardage ordered and the fabric repeat. Concerning printed, embroidered or flocked fabrics, the width shown on our price list refers to that of the print (useable width) and not that of the fabric ground which can vary without giving rise to disputes. DIMENSIONAL STABILITY In the course of their use, fabrics may be subject to dimensional variations due to environmental factors (damp, light exposure etc.), or to cleaning (water washing or dry cleaning, drying, ironing). It is impossible to give precise information with regards to the extent of such variations, in view of the enormous number of different fabric compositions, weaving techniques, applications and after-care operations. The following values are merely indicative: synthetic fabrics 1-2% silk 1-3% wool 1-3% cotton 1-4% viscose 3-5% linen 5-7% With regards to moiré fabrics, a variation of 5% in length can be considered normal. Within these limits no claim can be acknowledged. It is advised to bear these indications and margins in mind when calculating the measurements of finished curtains and hems, in order to avoid subsequent claims. For water washable fabrics please see the dedicated paragraph “Care Instructions”. COLOUR FASTNESS Dedar’s fabrics, trimmings and wallpapers are produced according to state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques which fully comply with requirements of light-fastness as well as current environmental and health regulations. However, fading may occur in particular atmospheric conditions or in the case of excessive exposure to sunlight or halogen lamps. A slight loss of colour may be caused by rubbing in the case of dark-coloured fabrics. Lining is recommended, particularly when making up silk fabrics intended for exposure to direct sunlight. PATTERN REPEATS Variations on fabric pattern repeats may occur. While estimating the pattern repeats and before upholstering, it is recommended to be sure that repeats and alignments are commensurate to the expected output. Since it is technically impossible to guarantee a perfect horizontal alignment in fabrics with a pattern repeat, it is recommended to take this into account when making up blinds and panels or in wall covering applications. VELVET AND CHENILLE FABRICS When used for seating upholstery, the pile of velvet or chenille fabrics tends to flatten slightly causing the finish to reflect the light differently and produce a so-called “shading” effect. This is a typical characteristic of such fabrics and does not depend on any manufacturing defect, neither can it be considered the object of any claim. Particular care should be taken in storing velvet fabrics, making sure these are hung and kept in a horizontal position. VELVET MAINTENANCE (marks and stains) As a characteristic of the velvet, the pile may be marked or create some marks due to wrong shipping/or warehouse handling. In order to reinvigorate the pile and eliminate the marks we suggest to brush and steam the fabric at a distance of 5.9 inches. Please note: steam should not come into direct contact with the material. Brushing should be done both in vertical and horizontal way. We recommend to repeat the process till the velvet resumes the original appearance.   To remove stains from the velvet the best way is to proceed with a dry-cleaning, which is the most efficient way. In case the fabric is not removable, please proceed as follows: dilute ammonia (25%) with water, gently dab with a soft cloth (do not rub), dry with a hair dryer set on a low temperature to avoid stains. Please start with 25% dilution, up to max 50%. Kindly note that those instructions are suitable for all velvets in our collections. REVERSIBLE FABRICS It is entirely up to the customer to indicate the right side to the upholsterer on having reversible fabrics made up. FABRIC USED AS WALL COVERING It is recommended that the fabric be stretched in the direction of the warp. Particularly in the case of natural fibers such as cotton and linen, if the fabric is not sufficiently smoothed out in the direction of the warp, it may in fact swell up in certain weather conditions. Any responsibility will be declined in the event of swelling or creases in the fabric caused by negligence in following the above instructions. EXTRA-WIDE FABRICS 118-130 INCHES: SPECIFIC INFORMATION Most extra-wide fabrics may be used in either direction. It is recommended to check the direction required beforehand and calculate the resulting yardage needed for the project, bearing in mind the pattern direction and repeat. STANDARD SHIPPING Apart from rare occasions, in which the customer is warned beforehand, for shipping purposes the fabric is folded in layers to prevent permanent creases forming at the centre of the fabric length. This procedure has been specially devised for each individual fabric type in order to reduce the risk of damage to an absolute minimum. ON REQUEST SHIPPING For fabric lengths exceeding 393 inches and for some destinations, it is possible to ship the fabric rolled on full-width bales. Such solution, however, entails higher transport costs and longer delivery times. EXTRA-WIDE STRIPES For technical reasons, extra-wide stripes tend to curve at the centre. This effect is due to yarn tension and cannot be avoided. It is recommended the maximum caution, therefore, when making up Roman blinds or curtain panels. SPECIALLY TREATED FABRICS: FIRE-RETARDANT FABRICS AND CONTRACT COLLECTIONS Indications are given in our price lists of the following fabrics and wallpapers: permanently fire-retardant fabrics and permanently fire-retardant wallpapers. On request, it is possible to effect fire retardancy and non-soil treatments on most of our fabrics. The company cannot accept any liability with regards to the result of any such treatment or for any alteration in the fabric hand and appearance once the fabric has been treated, which must be considered quite normal. Please contact the Dedar commercial offices (contract@dedar.com) for further information on fire retardancy treatments and the development of special products. WASHABLE FABRICS When washing fabrics in water, we recommend the use of sanitizing detergents and a temperature of 68° F. The sanitizing effect obtainable from low concentrations such as these may vary according to the type and composition of the fabric, and therefore vary in effectiveness. The fabric type, composition, colour, and cleansing action could tend to alter the appearance and tone of the colour, or even cause the formation of water stains. NON-WASHABLE FABRICS We advise you to clean non-washable fabrics using a damp cloth soaked in bleach or ethyl alcohol diluted in water in a low concentration (5-10%). The sanitizing effect obtainable from low concentrations such as these may vary according to the type and composition of the fabric, and therefore vary in effectiveness. The fabric type, composition, colour, and cleansing action could tend to vary the appearance and tone of the colour or even cause the formation of water stains. EVERYDAY CARE AND MAINTENANCE FOR ALL FABRICS For everyday care and prevention, it is advisable to remove dust with a feather duster or a soft brush, of the type used for clothes. It is also possible to pass a vacuum cleaner using the soft bristle nozzle specifically designed for fabrics and taking care not to rub and knock the vacuum cleaner against the fabric. Care and stain removal: to remove stains, it is advisable to test a concealed corner of the fabric and to dab it delicately with a white microfibre cloth soaked in a solution of ammoniac diluted in water (50% Water and 50% Ammoniac), or to use an active foam cleanser spray on dry fabric. Do not use alcohol-based detergents, powder detergents, bleach or degreasing cleansers.
